Deployed Military Tax Credit Expires April 30, 2011 The Tax credit was one of the driving forces of the Home Buyers in the Fayetteville area. Although, the tax credit was great for Buyers it was unfair to those who were deployed during this time. In the last approval of the Tax Credit, Congress made the necessary changes to allow military members who were out of the country the ability to use the credit. Will the Tax Credit Expansion Really Help Sellers - Moving Up? The Tax Credit Extension for First Time Home Buyers until April 2010 is great and will keep the momentum going for some markets. The Expansion to Homeowners who have lived in their home for the last 5 years, makes me kind of do a Hmmmm. If we really think about it, once signed in to law the most important step for sellers will be to Sell their "Existing Home"! Congress to Extend $8000 Tax Credit for Military Personnel As a Veteran and a Realtor, it makes me proud to see our government adjusting the Tax Credit for our military members who have been outside of the US for at least 90 days over the past year. We often have such a bond with the those who are serving or who have served, because we understand the hard work and dedication it takes to protect our country.
