We recently had an opportunity to visit the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis, in St. Louis, Missouri.

The cathedral was completed in 1914 and has one of the largest collections of mosaic in the Western Hemisphere.   The cathedral was designated a basilica by Pope John Paul II in 1997.
