This past week was a difficult one for my family -- my wife's Dad, Tony Indomenico, passed away at the age of 88. Tony suffered a severe stroke earlier this month. When it became apparent that the doctors could no longer help him, he was transferred to a hospice in Gilbert Arizona. His family and the Hospice staff provided loving care for several days, before he passed away. Dessert Course -- Holiday Progressive Dinner -- Sparrow Drive, Cortina We had our annual Progressive Dinner last night, on our block in the Cortina community of Queen Creek, Arizona. For those who are unfamiliar, a Progressive Dinner is one in which each successive course is served at a different residence. Josie and I hosted the appetizer course. I was already full after that round, but still managed to find a way to continue through the delicious 2nd and 3rd courses! Here is a photo of the desert table, which included a strawberry cheesecake that was especially wonderful!

American Heritage Festival -- Queen Creek AZ -- November 17th & 18th The 10th Annual American Heritage Festival will take place on November 17th and 18th, 2012, at Schnepf Farms, Queen Creek, Arizona. This the largest and most diverse living history event in the Western United States, and will include re-enactments, dramatic portrayals of famous men and women, musicians, singers, artisans and craftsmen. Queen Creek AZ -- Adult Co-Rec Softball League -- Registration Begins October 31st The Town of Queen Creek Arizona will be opening registration for the Adult Co-Rec Softball League, beginning on October 31st 2011. League play will take place from January 4th through March 16th, 2012, on Wednesday and Friday nights. The games will be held at Founders' Park from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
