Overrated and Underrated - 11-19-2012 Overrated - Staying with family. I traveled down to Tennessee yesterday, and I stayed with my brother and his family. I slept in my nieces tiny princess bed, one of their Great Danes jumped up on me and got my brand new jacket all muddy and their kids took/hid my weeks supply of vitamins. That's just the beginning of Day 1. Underrated -Getting away. Sure it's for a funeral, but just hitting the road alone and getting away from things for 4 days is pretty cool. I'm Gonna Miss You, Gramps. I missed the call last night. I had just went to sleep when my brother tried to call me. I called him back this morning. My grandfather passed away last night.
He lived a long life. 96 years to be exact. The last few years probably weren't the best, but he was strong, healthy and vibrant until then. I'm traveling to Tennessee Sunday morning, where he was living with my brother, then Cleveland Tuesday and Wednesday. That's where he'll be buried. Last 111 Days of 2012 - Business Accountability - Day 59 Listing appointment didn't quite work out the way I was hoping. They were adamant that they could get "much more" than I was telling them. They'll learn the hard way. Talked with a past client a little while ago. He's going golfing with me on Sunday. It's the middle of November and it's going to bet mostly sunny and in the low 60's. Perfect golfing weather. Hope they get most of the leaves off the ground!

In his blog, he was stood up by a potential buyer after he spent some hours scheduling showing and waiting for confirmations. To me, that's just plain rude. Be SAFE This Halloween! There are a few safety tips to make sure the kids are Safe this Halloween. Make sure their vision isn't blocked by their mask. Don't wear all dark clothing. Wear reflective tape or cloth. Don't eat any candy until your parents or someone else checks it out. Watch for kids running out into the streets. But this blog is going a little deeper. Overrated and Underrated. October 27, 2012 Overrated - Ketchup on a hot dog. I've had this argument a thousand times over the years. Once you hit the age of 12, there's no reason you should put ketchup on a hot dog. Mustard, onions and maybe some relish is the way to go. Even chili to make it a coney dog! Overrated and Underrated. October 24, 2012 Overrated - Ranch Dressing on Wings. I love me some wings, I truly do. But, ranch? Try Blu cheese next time. It's the best! Ranch can go kick rocks. Buying a Car Can Be More Expensive Than Buying a House! It's unbelievable, but true. In Livonia, MI, there is a total of 14 houses and condos that cost BELOW $40,000! The lowest priced house is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 625 sq ft house on a main road on the border of Redford. $19,900. There are many more examples in other suburbs, but I can't believe you can buy a house for less than some new cars.

Overrated and Underrated. October 21, 2012 Overrated - Bottled Water. I love drinking water, but what about the chemicals in the plastic? Is it good, bad, indifferent? Also, I keep hearing that if you leave the plastic bottles of water in the sun/heat, the chemicals can leech out and into the water that we drink. That can't be good, right? Photo or No Photo, THAT is the Question! I just read something on AR that stated "remove your photograph from your marketing materials. It makes you an unwanted guest and people unconsciously form opinions based on your photos." Do you currently use a photo? Will you eliminate a photo next time you need more cards? Are you still using that 80's "Glamour Shot" from the mall? Consumers! What are your thoughts on having our pictures on business cards? Let's figure this thing out once and for all!

Overrated and Underrated. October 6, 2012 Overrated - Blocked Calls. Look. If you're calling me at home or on my cell and my screen says "Blocked" or "Unknown," chances are I'm not going to answer. Make sure you leave a message and maybe I'll call you back. Underrated - Post Season Baseball. Fine. You might not this it's underrated, but a lot of people think it's the same as regular season baseball, which can be very boring because the season is so long. I mean, it's not playoff hockey or NFL playoffs, but it's still exciting!

Today's Email Scam. 10-3-2012 Wow, this is a good one. The scammers are making it look like someone bought something at Amazon.com (in this case, a tv) and is having it sent to my name in a different state. Check out the screen shot of the email...
First clue that it's not real is that I wouldn't purchase a TV and send it to someone else. Second clue is the email address that sent the email: Grace Morales despitet2@caspex.co.nz
