While April showers were rather scarce on Oahu, our real estate industry experienced a surge in contracts in hope of meeting the tax credit deadline. And with some new streamlined short sale submission processes and better communications with lenders and agents, perhaps, those contracts could blossom into May closings. None-the-less, we will have and continue to enjoy the many bright and vibrant colors flowers of our tropical paradise. So we have ended February on a high note not that the rest of the month was just as busy for us at EXIT Hawaii Dream Realty. We welcomed two agents onboard in February. Suezette Knock (RA) and Pei Chen (RA). This month was also busy with new listings and offers. I think people are beginning to realize that interest rates are not going to be remaining low. The latest interest rate forecast on the 30-year mortgage by the Mortgage Bankers Association increases by a half-of-a-point by the end of June.
