I know, I know, I’m not an economist, I’m a Realtor. My expertise is in helping people buy and sell houses in CT, so why am I writing about job creation? Well, the sooner employment turns around, the sooner the housing market will get back to normal – whatever normal is. As my clients who want to buy and sell houses in the Danbury CT area are able to take part of this new job growth it should provide them more opportunity to find the right homes. The Midtown Cafe, located directly across from the White Street campus of Western Connecticut University and opened in January of 2010 is already booming,and deservedly so.
In the words of one of the partners, Jason Cancro, the café is a "high-end burger joint". For lack of a better description, I guess that would fit but it's really a lot more. I know that headline sounds like a line of insincere marketing hype. Unfortunately, in our business, someone is always saying "It's a great time to buy a house". LET'S FACE - IT'S NOT ALWAYS A GREAT TIME TO BUY A HOUSE! In an "UP" market when inventory is low and prices are high, you will likely find yourself in a bidding war if you are interested in a desirable house. Bidding wars are great for sellers - not so much for buyers. That's why they call it a seller's market. A buyer's market exists when prices are down and inventory (1 comments)
