buyers: Pictures versus graphics - Beefing up your Marketing! - 08/17/07 05:11 PM
The other day I listed a house that had not been on the market in about 21 years.  The owner was a organized enough to have kept the original listing flyer.  It was incredible: the agent had developed a some text and a rough outline on a typewriter.  Then they taped a printed photo from a 35mm camera (no digitals) to the top of the page.  Yeah, one picture.  I don't get it either.
Nowadays, we all try to plaster as many pictures as we can on the flyer, out pretty glamour shots and some colorful graphics.  The clients love it, right?  … (5 comments)

Have you ever been looking at houses and had the urge to say "This is not the house I am going to buy!" You could have been thinking some more descriptive terms, the general ideal is still the same. What was it about the property that made you want to look away with such aversion? Is there one that sticks out in your mind? A dead animal in the yard? The roof caving in? I know, the house was bright pink with purple trim?
