glenn freezman: Access to Tools alone is NOT Sufficient - 02/11/14 02:46 AM
It's entirely possible that you are very good at (and have the tools to perform) a job that was really difficult to do a while ago.
The problem is that some difficult things keep getting easier to do.
Star Trek was cancelled twice during its original run for the simple reason that the ratings didn't justify the cost. Today, fans are making original Star Trek episodes for free. Many elements of the production are simply stunning.

glenn freezman: When the World gets me down... - 02/10/14 01:50 AM
I learned i can't change the world, but I can change my own world..  As I transition out of ownership and into the working world, I find it therapeutic to watch other people laugh.  I may be the ultimate narcissist, I use other peoples laughter to make me feel better.  Let me know if my 6 minute set helped.

glenn freezman: My 7 "Wonders of the World" - 01/23/14 12:40 AM
When people are asked, What are the 7 Wonders of the World, they often go back into our school years and rattle off, as if by rote,  exactly what they were taught.  I, being one, that believes that conventional schooling is destroying the creativity of today's youth offer the following as the TRUE 7 WONDERS OF THE WORLD.
      TO HEAR
         TO TASTE
             TO SMELL
                 TO TOUCH
                    TO FEEL
                         TO LAUGH
                              AND TO LOVE...
What are your thoughts?

glenn freezman: Welcome to Italy - 01/02/14 03:26 AM
You've saved and scrimped and spent hours on the plane, and now you're in Italy for the trip of a lifetime. It's likely you'll never be here again, and you've only got three days.
Question: How much time are you going to spend in the hotel room watching reality TV on cable? For that matter, how much time will you spend checking your email, grooming your social network status or browsing around online to see what's new?
You only have three days.
Now it's a week later, and you're back at your desk. Consider the fact that the most interesting or … (6 comments)

glenn freezman: Turning around NO!!! - 12/30/13 01:02 AM
The difficult task is to turn around a no.
Not, "no, I've thought about it, but I'm not interested," but, "no, I feel like saying 'no', whatever you're offering, the answer is no."
If the fractious child or the skeptical prospect or the frightened boss is coming from a place of no, your proposal just isn't going to work.
Shaking that rattle or waving that spreadsheet isn't going to work, because it's not going to be judged on the merits. The facts are irrelevant... if your partner (and yes, the person you're with right now is your partner, engaged in … (2 comments)

glenn freezman: How do you view CHANGE? - 12/26/13 04:33 AM
Change is often viewed negatively, seeing it as:
- a break with tradition
- unnecessary (it has been working since 1944 – why change it now?)
- not a good thing
- not something that will solve a problem (even if people agree that there is a problem)
And think about it. Are you more motivated by a positive picture of the future, or of a focus on “gloom and doom”? Assuming your answer is the same as mine, and everyone I’ve ever asked this question of, isn’t it more effective in our leadership communication to focus on the positives, especially for the future?

glenn freezman: A Morning Mommy Joke!! - 12/22/13 11:32 PM
When my wife was six months pregnant with my second child, my three year old came into the room when I was just getting ready to get into the shower.
He said, 'Mommy, you are getting fat!'
She replied, 'Yes, honey, remember Mommy has a baby growing in her tummy.'
'I know,' he replied, but what's growing in your ass?

glenn freezman: BREAKING News!! ..... from the North Pole... - 12/17/13 12:48 AM
It has been reported that due to the negative impact the Great Recession has had on economies all over the world, this Christmas, Santa Claus will have only two “Ho’s”, not three as is the custom. Additionally, it was reported, that if the recession deepens further or the recovery continues at its current slow rate, in 2014 Santa might have to do with only one “HO”   Happy Holidays from Glenn Freezman ============================================ … (0 comments)

glenn freezman: Whats attention worth? - 12/16/13 11:28 PM
Marketers that fail are often impatient and selfish.
Impatient, because they won't invest in the long-term job of earning familiarity, permission and trust.
And selfish, because they get hooked on the erroneous belief that merely because they have money, they have the right to demand attention. And selfish because they believe marketing is about them, not the person paying attention.
We call it "paying attention" for a reason. It's worth quite a bit, and ought to be cherished.
Have a great day, visualize your thoughts!
Thank you Seth Godin...

glenn freezman: Who Says Men Don't Remember? (JOKE) - 12/05/13 12:54 AM
A couple were Christmas shopping.  The shopping center was packed , and as the wife walked through one of the malls she was surprised when she looked around to find that her husband was nowhere to be seen.
She was quite upset because they had a lot to do and she became so worried that she called him on her mobile phone to ask him where he was.
In a quiet voice he said, "Do you remember the jewellers we went into about five years ago where you fell in love with that diamond necklace that we couldn't afford, and … (7 comments)

glenn freezman: Use your fear as fuel - 12/04/13 01:52 AM
Trash talking important work
The self-induced anxiety formula often goes like this: What I'm about to do is important. I've never done it quite like this. It's incredibly crucial, a turning point, a high risk venture, a moment in time I won't have again. Therefore, I am nervous. And I need to get morenervous, because the importance of the moment warrants it. This is going to fail. I can vividly picture all the ways it won't work...
On and on.
A common approach to decreasing the unhappy cycle is self talk to minimize how important the upcoming event is. The mantra … (6 comments)

glenn freezman: I have a confession to make... - 11/20/13 11:08 PM
I sat, as did millions of other Americans, and watched as the government underwent a peaceful transition of power a few short years ago..   At first, I felt a swell of pride and patriotism while Barack Obama took his Oath of Office.   However, all that pride quickly vanished as I later watched 21 Marines, in full dress uniform with rifles, fire a 21-gun salute to the President.   It was then that I realized how far America's military had deteriorated.                                         Every one of them missed!    Make it a great day from Glenn Freezman ========================================================================= … (8 comments)

glenn freezman: True Love.... Past, Present and Future - 11/15/13 03:52 AM
The amazing story was told to me while My dog and I was doing a Therapy Dog Visit at a local "Nursing Home"   It was a busy morning and about 8:30am an elderly gentleman in his 80's arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00am.
I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with … (8 comments)

glenn freezman: The Jewish Quarterback... You know this must be a joke!! - 08/26/13 02:01 AM
The coach had put together the perfect team for the Detroit Lions. The only thing that was missing was a good quarterback. He had scouted all the colleges and even the Canadian and European Leagues, but he couldn't find a ringer who could ensure a Super Bowl win.
Then one night while watching CNN he saw a war-zone scene in the West Bank. In one corner of the background, he spotted a young Israeli soldier with a truly incredible arm. He threw a hand-grenade straight into a 15th storey window 100 yards away.
He threw another hand-grenade 75 yards away, right into a … (6 comments)

glenn freezman: What's your PLAN "B"? I may do Stand-Up Comedy! - 08/07/13 11:55 PM
I am into my 5th month of writing and performing Stand Up Comedy.  I find it to be a refreshing change from the daily life of a Title Insurance agent.  My aspiration is to become a speaker at conventions for Title, Real Estate, Mortgage, Staging and Appraisal.  Although the material you'll watch (PLEASE) has nothing to do with Real Estate, I am writing material for that everyday.  Helium night club is not the venue for me to perform Real Estate related bits.  Enjoy and leave me a comment, Thanks in advance,
