20 singles dined out on the deck of the Roseville Tavern July 13. It was too hot to dine outside on July 17 at D&S Brasserie - 98 degrees and humid – but 24 of us ate inside in the air conditioning! Rain didn’t stop the Red Rose Singles from their dine-out at The Black Knight June 12. Instead of eating on the patio, 26 singles took up almost the whole dining room on the first floor! On the 19th we had 24 singles out on the patio at Smith’s Hotel in Columbia. Janice’s picnic Friday evening June 15th was a big success. Red Rose Singles had three great dine-outs in May. On the 8th we had 20 singles at The Station House in Lancaster. May 15 found us at Scooters in Lititz, with 26 singles in attendance! Another 20 singles dined at Reflections May 22 in Leola, with much laughter and merriment. In addition, Dawn’s bonfire was a big success, with 26 singles coming out on a warm May evening. New Singles, run by Pat O'Connor and Sid Miller, has organized singles dances in South Central PA for 20 years - in fact, New Singles just celebrated its twentieth anniversary! This year's Halloween dance was held at the Valencia Ballroom in York, PA. Close to 300 singles attended, with over 60 arriving in costume! Judges in the costume contest gave 34 costumes honorable mention, while four received cash prizes. Lancaster PA Singles Have a Blast at a Regional Dance: New Singles sponsored one of the biggest dances in the south central PA region Saturday night. The dance was held at the Wisehaven Banquet and Expo Center, York, PA. The dance featured The Hubcaps Band, one of the finest rock'n'roll bands in the area. Singles came from all over Lancaster County, York County, Adams County, Dauphin County and even Maryland, as far south as Baltimore! The banquet hall was beautiful, with seating on the main floor plus tables on the second floor balcony as well.
