maine interior designer: Notes from A Maine Interior Designer-Inexpensive Backsplashes to update your listing

I am often asked about backsplashes-are they really that important? YES. Yes they are. How clean is the wall behind your stove right now? That's what I thought.... Home sellers are often trying to improve on a budget. My #1 recommendation is to use the simple glass tile to update. Several recent home staging clients asked for other (cheaper) ideas,so here are my favorite, economical alternatives: Bead board/wainscoting, use sparingly!
TIN and painted tin-don't do the fake tin/plastic adhesive tiles, either. Do the real ones they are not expensive. Great improvement on a budget, and great ROI (10 comments)

Fiore Interiors' staging division has EXPANDED greatly over the last year. Have a cool listing outside Portland? No problem. What are my criteria for traveling? Honestly? 1. I need to like your broker. Good ones are easy to work with and have their clients' best interest at heart. It feels like a team effort. 2. The house must be remarkable, or in remarkable condition. Having said the above, let me introduce 16 Boardwalk Ave, Windham, Maine: Constructed by a builder, its over 5000 square feet of excellent floor plans, layout, and quality details (granite, wood floors, good light fixtures, great windows, (0 comments)
maine interior designer: Adding life and warmth to your listings over the winter.

I specialize in vacant home staging. I own a warehouse full of inventory and arsenal of staging accents. Some of the most valuable ones are my accessories-quality silk plants, dried hydrangeas, and other accents that warm up the house in the cold darker months. A few well placed plants in a clean, well designed space go a long way. Simple, tall plant in an uncluttered sunporch in winter.
Centerpieces for a formal dining room-silk red leaves (rather than flowers) add color and warmth.
In my humble opinion, if you have to use fake flowers, autumn colored hydrangeas are great. (8 comments)
