Meet The Graduate, my son, Sascha! Today he received his Master's in Public Policy from Hertie School of Governance here in Berlin Germany. Needless to say, I am extremely proud of his achievements! Hertie allows a maximum of 120 students per semester. Today 110 students from 33 countries around ...

I cannot believe how little time I have for blogging! Before we talk off again, I wanted to share this photo of my breakfast yesterday morning.  I love German bread and we found a little store that sells these ready made sandwiches on great bread. They also sell coffee and tea and have a place to...

Yes, these Iris flowers were in full bloom and I had to take a photo of my son, Sascha, next to them. We don't get to see these down in the Sunshine State, since it is simply too hot for them. I love seeing all of the beautiful flowers that used to grow in my garden back when I lived in Germany!!...

Yesterday we biked around the Siegessaule, which is the German Victory Column. I had heard about this little restaurant before and wanted to finally see for myself what all the talk was about. La Trattoria da Caetano does not advertise at all! The rest...

Nina's Bath & Spa in Tarpon Springs Florida is one of my favorite one-stop shopping locations for gifts to take on my up-coming trip. While there, I purchased several pre-made packages with sponges out of our Gulf waters and soaps made in Nina's Bath & Spa. The soaps come in some of the most wond...

Dolphins frolicking off Pass-a-Grill in St Pete Beach Florida or anyplace along our beautiful Gulf Coast is something we often take for granted down here in the Sunshine State. I remember, when I was a kid, I used to watch Flipper each and every day on the old black and white tv until it was repl...

Roy wants to see what Ronnie caught this week, so here is his Redfish! I think I only posted this in Facebook so far this week. It has been a crazy week with several closings and a lot of last minute running around getting gifts for everyone I will be seeing. Naturally, we took one day to spend t...

Blue skies, sunshine - Another perfect day off Clearwater Florida! We took the day off from work a little before noon and headed out onto the sparkling waters off Clearwater. With the sun shining, we spent the rest of the day on the intercoastal waterway. Ronnie got in some fishing and I had brou...
