Lake Tarpon and John Chesnut Park in Palm Harbor Florida was where we took the boat this morning. We launched the boat at Anderson Park in Tarpon Springs and then crossed the lake to John Chesnut Park.
Years ago, before there were boat ramps at Anderson Park & John Chesnut Park, people used an old (now non-existant) boat ramp that was next to East Lake Road. The natural canal led into Lake Tarpon and today Ronnie wanted to show me that canal.

Bass fishing is indeed a popular sport on Lake Tarpon in beautiful Tarpon Springs, Florida. You can launch your boat in either John Chesnut Park on the Palm Harbor side of the lake or in Anderson Park up in Tarpon Springs.
No matter where you launch your boat, you will be in for a treat on Lake Tarpon! This is an excellent destination for bass fishing, as well as for a day out on the boat. Either packing a lunch or stopping off at the Tarpon Turtle Restaurant on the northern shore of Lake Tarpon are options for lunch.

The dog park in A L Anderson Park on the west side of Lake Tarpon in beautiful Tarpon Springs Florida actually has fenced in area where dogs can run without a leash and enjoy the park with other four legged visitors! Anderson Park in Tarpon Springs Florida is really a wonderful park and is open until sunset 7 days a week! The park was originally opened in 1964 and has been a popular destination for families ever since.

Anderson Park is located in beautiful Tarpon Springs Florida! If you are heading north on US 19, the park entrance is directly to your right after the light on Klosterman.
Anderson Park is located on the north west side of Lake Tarpon. There is a boat ramp and plenty of hiking trails. You can also enjoy the wonderful picnic facilities that are located throughout the park.
Naturally, no park would be complete without a children's playground! Since Anderson Park is 128 acres, it is only fitting that it has two children's playgrounds.
