The American recovery and Reinvestment Act which was passed on Feb. 17, 2009 is available for homes purchased on January 1st, 2009 and before December 1st 2009....(KEEP that date in mind). This tax credit does not have to be repaid. The tax credit is equal to 10percent of the purchase price for our home, up to a maximum of $8,000. Now, if you purchased a home in 2009 before you knew about this, and have already filed your taxes, you can consider doing an amended return to collect on this. Yes, the foilage is beautiful. If you visit Helen, or surrounding areas of Batesville, Lake Burton, Clarkesville, Cleveland, Sautee-Nacoochee or Dahlonega, you will indeed see some beautiful colors. Here in the Helen area, you have two more days of jacket weather It is 10:30 am and the temp is still under 50 degrees, going up to only 57, if the weather wizards are to be believed!
