Every year in June, the Parker Chamber of Commerce hosts its Signature Event, Parker Days Festival.  (Sometimes referred to as Parker Country Festival or Parker Days.)  This year the event will be held on the 2nd weekend in June.  This year's event will also feature Sneak Peak Carnival night on Thursday, June 9th from 5-10pm.
The Festival includes Carnival rides and games, a Marketplace of vendors, Entertainment and many, Food and Drink options.

The Parker Library hosted their First Edible Book Contest on Saturday, April 2.  With more than 25 entries, the event was a big success.  Children, adults, families and at least one local business had entries in this year's contest.

I can share my PERSONAL answer: Location, location, location.  We are close enough but not too close to Denver, major sporting events, the airport and the mountains!  We've got big chain retail and restaurants, and we have mom and pop places too!  We've a got a movie theater, a public library, a hospital, all the conveniences of a "big town" in a small town.
