lake mary home stager: What is Home Staging? Your Questions Answered [Lake Mary, Florida] - 05/28/13 12:04 PM
As a home stager in Lake Mary, Florida, I find it interesting to ask random people their interpretation of home staging.  The following are a few of the responses.  Decluttering, yea, decluttering; making the house all nice, neat and pretty for buyers to take a look.  Home staging is that stuff they do on HGTV before the realtor comes.  It’s tidying up, putting stuff away, and then putting a for sale sign in the yard.  Home staging is when you add furniture that looks new.

Canvas is defined as “A strong, coarse unbleached cloth made from hemp, flax, or cotton, used to make sails and tents.” Canvas material is generally put on a frame to which paint is applied.  When I refer to a blank canvas, I’m speaking about empty rooms.
Just let me get the dimensions of the rooms with my Bosch distance measurer.  This handy tool measures with a laser beam. I’ll sketch it all out in draft, bring it to scale and away I go to create.  I guess this is the designer … (5 comments)

I just got ear candy as I just listened to my husband play guitar.  He’s … (4 comments)

In reviewing the market summary for November 2012 for Lake Mary, Florida, I am astounded that there were 69 price reductions.  After all, inventory is down to barely over 3 months’ supply; six (6) months’ supply is considered healthy.  Price reductions can occur for many reasons; however, looking over what’s listed for sale in Lake Mary, I can see that homes are not properly showcased for market.

The difference in what?  I often think it is confusing to many people as to the difference between an interior designer, a decorator, a re-designer, a stager.  I chose this topic because often when I talk to people, they interchange the words.  Although they relate, they are all different.
All of these professions use the principles and elements of design.  These are scale, proportion, balance, emphasis, harmony, and rhythm; the elements are space, line, shape and mass, texture, light, color, and pattern.

Following is a summary of the differences … (2 comments)
