Thank You Gary Woltal from the Bottom of My Heart A few days ago, I lost my beloved family dog, Maizy. I am having some difficulty with her death and shared that in a comment with a fellow ActiveRain member, Gary Woltal. Today, I received an email from my receptionist that a package had arrived for me. It contained a book that was mentioned in Gary's post, Abbey the Dog and a Letter to God. I Didn't Know It Would Hurt Like This There is so much I am thankful for but today I'm feeling a little melancholy. Our beloved family pet, Maizy, of 11-years passed away today. It was all so sudden. I can't go into all the details right now as I'm still a little fragile but, suffice it to say, she is gone. I feel so silly. I've experienced pain before. But the passing of my dog has taken me a little by surprise. I didn't expect to feel so sad. Unfortunately, this occurred as my kids were heading back to college today. … (14 comments)
