This August will mark the 4th Anniversary of Hurricane Katarina. The City of New Orleans and this region is still rebuilding. Many issues still are in debate and causing delays. A bright spot is occurring as I write this post. Teenagers a report 37,000 are here to help. These teenagers are doing everything to help our City. In case you don't realize it is in the 90's as far as the temperature and we still see them everywhere.

Although it is gear to the tourist, locals my fine it very helpful. Today the temperature is in the high 80's and is great for walking around in the French Quarter (don't forget to sip on some Kool Aid;). The crayfish are quite large and plenty full. With another holiday upon us this is a quick reminder to back up your computers. I spend about 6 hours in upgrades and backing up my system this week. How quickly time goes. It is amazing the amount of information I have been saving. One of my tech goals for 08 was to go paperless. I am scanning and saving more than ever. I do a manual backup every Holiday.

I agree the real estate business has changed, gone are the days of carrying a MLS book that resemble a phone book. In 1986 who had a cell phone? Who could afford one? By the 1990's if you remember the size of them who wanted to carry one. Beepers have now just about come and gone. I go the office now just to turn in paper work or pick up a check. I now carry a laptop that I can print a contract out in my car.
