Daylight Savings Time March 10, 2013
Don't forget to move the clocks ahead one hour on Saturday Night for Daylight Savings. It's also a good time to replace smoke detector batteries. This is my favorite time of year. The longer days means more time to work in the garden and play golf.

This is normal. The Act of Sale brings the buyer and seller together to formalize the purchase of the new home. Lets cover what you should do the in the days leading to the act of sale.
Confirm the time of the closing. Location of the Closing Attorney office. On the day of closing bring picture ID. Bring Certified Funds If spouse or other is … (0 comments)

st bernard: Place of Worship in New Orleans - 09/09/09 04:39 AM
Moving to New Orleans
The oldest church in New Orleans is the Saint Louis Cathedral. It is located in Jackson Square in the Heart of the French Quarter. St. Patrick's Catholic Church is the second oldest in the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
New Orleans is rich with religious activity and learning. One such tradition is Mardi Gras. Believe or not Mardi Gras has its roots in religion. The region will celebrate Mardi Gras 2010 on February 16.
Considering moving to New Orleans your thoughts may turn to your local catholic churches. A large amount of the local population are Catholics. Here … (0 comments)

st bernard: Pre and Post Inspections - 10/28/08 02:10 AM

When looking to buy or sell homes for sale in Kenner, Destrehan, Slidell, look to an agent who has purchase several properties in these areas and willing to share his experience. As a buyer and seller agent I always recommend full inspections to be performed. One way to prevent any delays in the closing process is to have an inspection preform by the seller before a offer arrives. In fairness the seller may be unaware of any short coming of a property. They may have paid their contractor for work that was suppose to be performed in a professional manner and to current … (2 comments)

st bernard: Investment Property - Location -Location - Location - 10/02/08 12:45 PM

When purchasing investment property one of my businesses philosophy as well as personal rules are to buy locally. When investing in real estate with my own money I have and will always purchase property that I can reach within 15 minutes. I have owned property that was only a 45 minute drive which turned out very bad. One way a 45 minute drives to check a plumbing issue or pick up a rent, not fun and who has the time.
With this said the reason I am posting today is investors purchase several properties in the greater New Orleans area … (6 comments)

It's getting to be that Time of Year

I am starting to see to see the signs of Fall and the upcoming holiday season. If you go to Home Depot, Sams or Wal-Mart just take a look around. In addition, I am seeing more homes decorated in Destrehan LA for Holloween. Close to Destrehan there is a pumpkin patch farm. For years my kid's schools have made the annual field trip to Montz Pumpkin Farm and Hayride. Located at 17834 River Road, phone 985.652.3672.
Some tips for your Pumpkin lasting thru out the season.

st bernard: Southeast Louisiana Realtors - 09/05/08 01:58 PM
Well New Orleans survive a passing blow from Hurricane Gustav. Hurricane Gustav proved that the city and region can with stand and or levee which were suspect may do the job. Much work is need to bring all the levee to current standards. This brings real estate to the forefront. Now is the time to come home. Prices of property in the Greater New Orleans will never again be lower. In St. Bernard, the investor who enter the market 3 years ago, are ready to cash in. Gustav showed that the entire area will rebuild and return to Pre-Katrina status. The New Orleans … (1 comments)

st bernard: Clean Up Mode, Shout Out to All Louisiana AR Members - 09/05/08 02:27 AM
Just returned late last evening to Destrehan, LA. WOW! what a mess. It appears that most homes have just a mess to clean up. My damage is a little more extensive. I have roof damage. Lucky, I have my crew in route to at least place some tarps to prevent further damage to my home. Local utilities are stressed. We can not wash anything due to our sewerage system failure. Bread and milk are in short supply as of now. Things will only get better.
Eric, John, Lisa and all Louisiana member let us know how your doing.

st bernard: Chicago Vacation Turned Evacuation Day 3 - 09/02/08 11:40 AM
Chicago's Vacation turned into Evacuation  Day 3

We attended the Philadelphia Phillies vs. Chicago Cubs today. Our seat were great, along the third base line. Getting to Wrigley Field after all these years was a dream come true. My first trip was schedule for August 2005. Hurricane Katrina cause that trip to be cancelled.   As soon as you see Wrigley Field you feel like your stepping back in time. The stadium reminds me of the old Tulane Stadium in New Orleans. They tore Tulane Stadium down when the Louisiana Superdome was completed. You can see the players and you can … (1 comments)

st bernard: Chicago Cubs, Day Two Wrigley Field - 09/01/08 01:02 PM
This is day two of our four day vacation or so we thought. Hurricane Gustav had other ideas. Today Saturday is the official evacuation of St. Charles Parish. This video was shot with my HP R967. I was considering purchasing a flip video. While sitting in my hotel, I started playing or learning my current equipment. Let me know what you think about the quality etc… Unfortunately, most of my friends and family are on the road fleeing this Hurricane during the time of this game. Most of them spending 12 hours or more what is a short 3 hour trip. … (1 comments)
