fran white: 1008 NW 73rd Ter., Kansas City Missouri - 11/14/07 06:24 AM
This gorgeous home boasts wonderful landscaping with brilliant fall colors in the yard.  The secluded back yard which backs up to woods can be an adventure for your children in the summertime holding hours of fun.  The neighborhood is tucked back in a community away from busy streets and the home is on a cul-de-sac.
The hardwoods in the kitchen and dining add a taste of elegance to the popular color scheme surrounding them.
At this price, this one won't last... if you hurry you could be moved in by the Holidays.

fran white: Did You Hear The One About The... - 11/10/07 03:23 AM
I think that I'm going to start a new weekly post for fun.  One has to laugh at some of the calls they get or you'd end up eventually pulling your hair out.
My new weekly post is going to have the title of "Did You Hear The One About The..."   I'm sure you've all heard jokes that start out this way and since I cannot call them Trick or Treaters anymore...
So did you hear the one about the Real Estate Attorney that called me and wanted to know about all these properties.  He wanted me to call all the listing agents and see if … (9 comments)

fran white: Houston: We've Located Rusty Mason And We're Bringing Him Through To The Rain - 11/06/07 11:10 PM
Well, Rusty and I go back a few years before either of us were in real estate.  In fact it was funny when we both discovered that we were in the same profession and that our paths were crossing again.
I've been trying to get Rusty here for quite a little while now.  Gee, this must be how it feels when a broker gets an agent they've been chasing. :)  Glad to had you aboard Rusty.
Folks I'm sure you will enjoy his wit, sense of humor, knowledge and outlook on life.  And I think he'll be a very good addition to Active … (3 comments)

fran white: Unexpected Surprise Close To One Of Al Capones Hangouts - 10/29/07 03:08 AM
My wonderful husband and I went on a little adventure yesterday to Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Home to the historic Elms Hotel which is a Legend of America.
As the story has been told in 1880 Indians and hunters told a man who had a daughter with tuberculosis that the natural springs in Excelsior Springs had amazing healing powers.  The man decided to try it and after just a few weeks of bathing in the spring and drinking it's water she was miraculously cured.
During the prohibition years it was a hang out for the likes of Al Capone and other gangsters.

fran white: Antibiotic-Resistant Staph Infection Discovered in Kansas City - 10/28/07 10:09 AM
Initially the Staph Infection started out in Kansas, but it didn't take it long to jump the river and hit the Northland.
Wednesday a Fox Hill Elementary student was confirmed with having the staph infection.
North Kansas City school officials say the most recent case poses little threat and the student has been allowed to keep attending school.
Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA can be life threatening.  The biggest preventative is to WASH YOUR HANDS!

But anyway, here's a little number that I jazzed up mostly with the graphics you can customize from ImageChef.com

fran white: What's Your Level Of Dedication? - 09/25/07 09:12 AM
In this day and the market we are dealing with it's even more important that we as Professional Realtors respond in a manner that's an eye opener to our clients.
We need to display our level of dedication to our clients... and this past Saturday was no different.
Momma always said, "Work Before Play" and I've translated that as an adult to "Business Before Pleasure."
I have 4 girlfriends that I went to high school with that I'm still extremely close to.
Each year for the last 10 years we've been having and annual "Big Chill" get together.
The "Big Chill" event this past weekend was … (12 comments)

fran white: My Daughter's Sign Language Professor is Deaf - 09/21/07 03:22 PM
My daughter is taking sign language and her professor is deaf.  When she came home and told me my first response was, "what a great opportunity and I cannot think of anyone better to be taught by.... it's like being transplanted into France or Germany or even Norway and no one speak English"
She agreed and has been absorbing ASL as fast as she possibly can teaching me all she can in between studying because it made me think... "how do deaf folks buy houses?... they need an interpreter.
One of her assignments for the semester is that she has to attend 12 … (3 comments)

fran white: A Taste of Norway - 09/20/07 09:59 AM
Ok, call it lame if you want, but it's my most favorite place in the world.
Tom Plant and I have shared pictures of Norway previously and today I found this great little video showing you a slice of Norway.
It's a pretty special place to me, just sit back, let your day disappear for just a few moments and relax.
A European trip without even leaving the country. :)
