OWNING YOUR OWN HOME—NOT WHAT YOU THINK

In 1983, I was a fledgling mortgage loan officer in Franklin, Kentucky, working with a newly licensed realty agent.  We had a young couple that was looking for their first home.  I was also doing business with two reputable home builders, and new homes started out around $69,900. I had prequalified them for about $75,000, so Mary Ann and the bride were like two little girls in a dress shop.

Mary Ann called me one night, and said “Fred, you have got to talk Steve into … (8 comments)

"KNICK-KNACK PADDYWHACK-GIVE THE DOG A BONE-THIS OLD MAN CAME ROLLING HOME"  Now, how does verse TWO go?  And, What has it got to do with Real Estate?

The question is, "WHAT HAS THIS SONG GOT TO DO WITH A REAL ESTATE BLOG?"  Remember the first verse?
"This old man, he played one, he played knick-knack on my thumb."  … (7 comments)

success: MINDING OUR P's and Q's - 09/16/10 06:39 PM

Attitude is what separates winners and losers.  Services rendered by a REALTOR® save seller and buyer far more than it cost them.  Yes, a REALTOR® will save their client TIME, MONEY, FRUSTRATION, ANXIEY, and in the end: SAVE THE DEAL.  A license doesn't make a REALTOR®.  An Association membership doesn't.  Advertizing doesn't, and neither does … (7 comments)
