I've noticed a distinct change in the market. When placing listings in the MRIS, I always put "call first" in the showing instructions. Usually the showing agent makes the courtesy call, we make some small talk, and I take the opportunity to discuss some of the properties highlights, and that is pretty much it. But that has all changed. It seems that with most of the calls that I have gotten in the last few weeks start out with the same question. "Is it still available, and do you have any offers in on it?" Commitment. Websters Dictionary defines the word "commitment" as "a pledge or promise; obligation." I recently got a call from an agent who indicated that she was about to present an offer on one of my properties. We had quite a nice conversation, and we reviewed, while on the phone, what I assumed were most or all of the pertinent details of the offer. Shortly thereafter, I got the offer via fax. I am somewhat new to Active Rain, and I am somewhat addicted. Ok - I am all the way addicted. I have learned a lot about marketing on the web, blogging, SEO, and all sorts of stuff.
