Many in this business look forward to the annual ritual called Baseball season, as unless you have a private box - THAT DOES NOT INCLUDES ME, of most sports you can attend the games and maintain a coherrent conversation - or for the most part be heard by whomever you are conversing with. I guess that's why many use this sport as a mix of entertainment with business or networking sprinkled in. My condolences to the family of Nick Adenhart. Social Networking!! If you are reading this post you know its popularity and probably recognize it is here to stay and will keep improving. Sort of!! What started as technology primarily used by the Government or secret agencies is now a mainstay, especially for those in business. I recall my first introduction to e-mail in 1983!! At the time what a novelty. Many remember the days communication was centered around the ubiquitous memo. Now that specs of the Housing Recovery Plan has been announced, another huge component of getting out of this housing mess is allowing Judges to modify mortgages directly from the bench. Like the Recovery, this is not a catch - all for everyone but certainly whatever the population is who will benefit is more that before. We all know that reversing or amending policies can be time consumming........at best, but for nearly 2 years people who fled to bankruptcy court for protection still were at the lenders/servicers mercy to get their payments in line … (3 comments)

Alright, I'm a Dodger fan and I don't know whether to be mad at Manny Ramirez, Scott Borras or Frank McCourt. What a bunch of goofballs who are looking at the worse economic meltdown in our lifetime, yet they cannot come to terms. Alright fellow real estate professionals, especially those of you on the mortgage brokerage side of the aisles, I am sharing a recent article written in the Los Angeles Magazine about our current housing crisis. Anyway, what got my ire was the author's blatant comment that Mortgage Brokers (solely) were responsible for pushing the bad loans onto unwilling borrowers. While part of the writing was true, it once again paints the blame to make the story somewhat juicy, as there are many, many, many types of orginators and when I last checked mortgage brokers represented a small portion of that population. … (1 comments)

I would imagine all if not most of us entered this business with the sole reason for providing real estate representation to clients with the reward of generating revenue/income for ourselves. Today's focus in on the political side of the isles. As many (that I know) enter politics (or they claim) with the focus of "having the honor to serve the people." Sounds simple enough - very noble, very admirable, but with the recent news we all are hollering TIME OUT! What is going on?
