Hello Fellow Rainers, It is with great joy that I announce that I just made my 3000th comment! WOOHOO! Another milestone made and gone. Soon I will be hitting my 350th post (doesn't it feel like I just wrote a post about the 300th one??) and the biggie coming up will be 150,000 Points! Thank you to all my on line friends who help keep it interesting. I look forward to being part of the Active Rain community every day. Your friend in New Jersey, Lisa (9 comments)
I was talking to a friend of mine's little girl, and she said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, 'If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?' She replied, 'I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people.' 'Wow - what a worthy goal.' I told her, 'You don't have to wait until you're President to (10 comments)
lisafriedmancom: Spreading Love and Thanks To Our Military Troops! Happy Thanksgiving

This re-blog comes compliments of the wonderful Midori Miller of Daytona Beach, Florida. Midori is a woman who truly appreciates all that we are lucky enough to have in this great country. I love her post. I am thankful for the soldiers and I am thankful for people who appreciate the soldiers. I always respect, honor and thank a veteran. Without them, where would we be? A Happy Thanksgiving to all and please remember all we have to be thankful for every day. God Bless America!

So, okay, here it goes - 1) I wanted to be a Realtor since I was 7 years old. I grew up in a single parent welfare family and always wanted to have that Great American Dream of Home Ownership - you know the white picket fence, the golden retriever, the whole thing (minus the kids). Did I ever mention that I love reading MeMes? You get to learn a lot about people by reading about them and I enjoy getting to know my friends on The Rain better. This time, I have been tagged twice. Once by my friend Kristin Moran of San Antonio who announced today that she just bought her own RE/MAX office - you can read about it here. I have also been tagged by my friend Gail Mac Millan in Titusville, Florida. The rules of the MeMe - 1. Grab the nearest book.2. Open the book to page 56.3. Find the fifth (11 comments)
lisafriedmancom: Resilience - a must have quality

Another great post from my friend Steve Hoffacker in Florida. Steve has some really amazing posts - you should check out his blog!
This post really resonates with me. As those of you who know me know my favorite mottos - "If anyone can, I can" and "No Guts, No Glory". I'll also add in that "Its not over until the very last breath". Steve's post exemplifies that having resilience and not giving up when the going gets tough is worth the hard earned reward at the end of the dark tunnel. Its interesting how what most of us refer to (5 comments)
