I don't know about you, but, I do get overwhelmed at tax time. Making sure all of my accounts have sent the proper information to me, investment details, improvements to our properties and then, all of those receipts! Ugh! Profit & Loss Statements! We need to keep them for seven years. Boxes & boxes, year to year!

Monday morning, 8:30am, we will meet at a local restaurant. I have two new members attending this meeting and I am excited to have them join us. We will go over our Buffini assignment, after introductions. The assignment follows the Conference CD, so that, we really tackle this market and are able to perform our duties to our clients. Just as we knew it would, the Brian Buffini Boston Turning Point, was AWESOME! Brian was so giving of energy, information, a bit of humor, a bit of humility and he couldn't wait to give it out to us. Today, I showed, or tried to show three properties. Before I left to meet my client, I called one of the listing offices because I hadn't received a confirmation message. I thought for sure I had missed or lost the call somehow. The lady who answered was kind, chuckled and said that she would call the sellers to verify for me. Yes, we have had or are still having, our winter weekend snowstorm. Welcome to New England. It is slowing down now and plans are being made to dig out and get going. This weekend, the HomeBuilders Association of Hartford County, is hosting the original Connecticut Home & Remodeling Show in this area, at the New Connecticut Convention Center. The snow has stopped, we are shoveled out and ready to go for the morning! I have a new client tomorrow and I am excited to show him homes. He is so excited and enthusiastic, that he just makes me smile. In our buyer client meeting I asked him to list why he wants to buy a home, sense of urgency, and what type of home would he prefer to find. Pretty funny, he said he hated paying rent and was hoping to find a home that was clean and had a garage. Did this buyer just fall from heaven?

Do you have time on your hands? I have advised agents to host seminars for their clients and friends. Now, I am advising agents to attend a seminar. Think about it. There must be something you need more information on. You can attend a financial planning event at your local bank, a health forum at your local hospital, museums often have special events, and then there are your local schools and colleges. Do you start early in the morning, or are you a night owl? Either one, you still need to plan your day. Some folks plan the night before, where as, I am a morning gal. I get up and out early. I find a quiet corner in a breakfast restaurant, because I need the java, and proceed to write my 5 notes, write in my journal and then plan out my day, in my daytimer. I do have a Treo, but, I am too attached to my book. Someday, I will graduate to the Treo:)
