Many of us have attended different motivational seminars. Most are helpful, some are a waste of your time. Yesterday morning, I attended a half day event, that I wish, kept going! The people came from near and far. It was held in Downtown Hartford. Easy commute (the highway leads right to the location) and the parking was in the Convention Center. Just a short walk to the Marriott Hotel, which is connected to the Convention Center. It was a breeze, coming and going! As I rode up the escalator, from the beautiful lobby, I was amazed to see so many people! … (8 comments)

Yes, that was the title of the event I attended this morning. It was held in Hartford at the Connecticut Convention Center. A breakfast event hosted by the Metro Hartford Alliance and by the Hartford Business Journal. It started at 7am and ended by 9am. Awards were given to six area businesses for their amount of growth with their employee numbers and also, by their revenue amounts for the past year. The room was full of enthusiasm and promise for our local economy. Some of these companies had started in a garage. Their stories were inspirational to all who attended. As we … (3 comments)
