Do you have a Mission Statement?   A Mission Statement gives you a purpose..  A goal can be achieved and replaced with another goal..  a Mission Statement is ongoing, almost a living statement of your purpose.
A Mission Statement can evolve and change over your lifetime.  It is the means to make your goal, it is a reason, a cause.  An individual or a corporation can both have a Mission Statement.  It gives us focus.

Earlier today I was reading a post by BLR GUY about an agent who quit.. went inactive and that made me start to think about the ones who go inactive and those who don't.  Yes, it does come down to who is making money and can afford to stay in the field and who isn't making money.
I think the key is prospecting, lead generation, finding clients.  Whatever you wish to call it.. it comes down to garnering new business, thru referrals, cold calls, door knocking, phone duty, open houses, direct mail outs or any other types of contact the human mind can think of … (21 comments)

Christmas Bazaartime is a most wonderful time of the Year.
Here in Austin Texas there are many fun Christmas Bazaars where one can shop til they drop, enjoy cookies, candies, and hot cocoa or spiced cider til your hearts content.  I love Christmas Bazaars, from the neighborhood mommies groups to the large commercial art gathering of talented people.
Some of the most unique and beautiful gifts I have found were at a Christmas Bazaar.  Many times the items are one of a kind, and many are handmade with so much love they just beg to be taken home.

Earlier this year the book and movie THE SECRET was very popular and it was everywhere I turned,  I don't agree with the book in its entirety, I think some of it is awesome.   ( thats another discussion)  but then its a compliation of many authors over the years who teach positive mind sets.  If you GOOGLE the word AFFIRMATIONS you get 4,870,000 results in 8 seconds.  Its all about the power of positive thinking.
So after talking with several people and going to seminars I did chose to find myself some daily affirmations to create positive thinking....

Do you answer the phone with a SMILE on your face?   Did you know the person on the other end of the line can feel that smile, hear it in your voice?
I had forgotten that lesson .. it was so very automatic to me to do now, after being in customer support for several years and my supervisor hammering it at us daily.  Then even placing a mirror on my desktop so I could see if I was smiling before I answered the line.

On the local news the past day or so has been tidbits about the Giant GOOGLE moving some offices to Austin Tx, this first appeared earlier this year and was quasi-qualified by GOOGLE by posting job openings for an Engineering Team Manager for Austin. Per the Austin Business Journal June 6,2007.
Well, SILICON HILLS (Austin) is happy to have more SILICON VALLEY ( California) come join us in all this good  good weather, cheap (a relative word) Real Estate and reasonable employment costs, plus a huge engineering department at University of Texas here at the 40acres downtown.

 YES you do still exist.  People are still buying and selling homes every day .. especially in Austin Texas where I live and work.    Today I will try to share with you some interesting facts.
