real estate advice: Do You Know What TODAY Is? - 09/30/15 02:34 AM
Do you know what today is?  Well,  it is September 30th.  Today is the last day of the THIRD quarter for 2015. Has your real estate business hit a speed bump and slowed down a little bit?
For my Gainesville area, the answer to the speed bump question is, YES.
This is normal for our area.  I know each year we have a slow down after public schools start, after the University semester starts, and once football starts.
But I will not panic or worry. (And that's a lie, as I always worry and panic)
It's been a strong year for business here. Have … (16 comments)

real estate advice: Home Warranty Plans Can Be Part of Your Household Budget - 03/13/12 10:55 AM
I recently had a meeting with Dolores Foster, the Senior Account Executive of Old Republic Home Protection.  We thought it would be a great informative post for all homeowners in the area to understand that a home warranty plan is a great way to protect your investment....your home.   Take a moment and read what Dolores has to say....
The purchase of a home is often the most expensive investment of a lifetime.   Adding a home warranty protects this investment by keeping the covered home systems and appliances in good working order for the term of the Plan.  It also provides peace of mind and … (2 comments)

real estate advice: Pricing Right Is Key To Selling Your Home - 12/12/07 08:02 AM

You may be deluged with lookers and (in a hot seller market) may get many offers, but you could lose thousands of dollars on your family's largest investment. Likewise, pricing a property too high is risky. Homes priced too high miss their target market. Qualified buyers who might find the home just right for their needs won't see your home, or … (2 comments)

real estate advice: Extra! Extra! Calling All Buyers..... It's a Buyer's Market - 08/25/07 08:47 AM
We have all been so bombarded with national & local news about the real estate marketbeing down, down, down.   Indeed, it has been a slower than normal market here in Gainesville-Alachua County.  Yet, please know this means a slower market for the "sellers".  It's a great market for the "buyers"!
Interest Rates are still near record-low levels. The amount of homes for sale in our MLS is twice the amount as last year, so you have more to choose from. (Higher Home Inventory) Our home prices have "adjusted" and "stabilized". More sellers & builders are offering "buyer incentives". So don't … (6 comments)
