The Sebastian Ferrero Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a full-service children's hospital in Gainesville, Florida. The organization was founded by Horst and Luisa Ferrero, who lost their healthy 3 year old son, Sebastian, due to a series of medical errors which ultimately led to his death in October 2007.

On Sunday, April 26, 2009, from 8 to 10 AM, The Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society at UF´s College of Medicine is hosting its first ever Trot for Tots, a 5K run/walk to raise money for the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation. A healthy, happy 3 year old, Sebastian Ferrero died at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida in October 2007 as a result of a medication overdose followed by a series of preventable medical errors.
