california floods: Is the drought over in California? - 02/20/17 05:06 PM
California Governor declared a state of emergency for 50 counties from flooding, erosion, and mud flows. Just recently we learned that the State Water Resources Control Board voted 5-0 on Feb. 8 to keep its emergency drought regulations in place through April. Cities in our region, along with hundreds of water agencies throughout California, urged state regulators to let these rules expire.  As the precipitation levels, have been exceptionally strong. Lake Spaulding, which accounts for 90 percent of Placer County Water Agency’s supply, is at 217 percent of average compared to this time last year. This is on track to exceed water … (6 comments)
