real estate: Relocation Transactions? - 08/19/07 07:29 AM
Have you ever had the opportunity to do a relocation transaction? How different and difficult was it?
I had a relocation transaction as my very first real estate transaction. It was very difficult communicating with someone from another state because the real estate laws were so different. I look at it this away, if I ever go through another transaction like that at least I learned a lot from that one. I had learned things that even one of my principal brokers had never experienced before.

real estate: Prospecting Ideas!! - 08/19/07 07:21 AM
Here are a few prospecting ideas that had got emailed to me awhile back and I have benefited from them. **Coordinate a community garage sale. The participating home owners can e-mail you their contact information, and you can provide the county permit, garage sale maps, signs, and a ad in the paper. The whole event cost are very low. On the day of the event, stand in front of the community handing out maps, make it a goal to meet every home owner face to face. Often, people have a garage sale when they're preparing to sell their home, so it makes for the perfect opportunity to further your brand, build your … (5 comments)

real estate: First-Time Home Buying Seminars? - 08/19/07 06:21 AM
Have you ever did a first time home buying seminar or class? Are they a waste of time, or do people really show up? I have been looking into them to see if they would be worth it or not? I have a team of lenders that are willing to do them with me. If you can please tell me what your experiences with them were, it would be greatly appreciated.
Do you charge people to come or are they free? I am just trying to see what would work best, because I have heard if you offer them for free people will not come. … (6 comments)

real estate: Dou you currently work the FSBO & Expired market? - 08/19/07 02:32 AM
Dou you work the FSBO & Expired market?
I was just wondering if anyone works this type of market, or in the past worked with them? What are your thoughts on working those markets? What experiences have you had when working with the FSBO's & Expired Listings? Or the ups and downs of working with FSBO's and Expired Listings?
Do agents usually leave this market for a last resort to get business? I just do not know of anyone that commits the time and effort into these markets?

real estate: Websites? - 08/18/07 05:51 PM
I am looking for some information of websites? I don't care for the one I have, it was too expensive for the quality of the site. If you have information on some recommended people or places to build a website, can you please give the info? I have been searching everywhere and I am not getting anywhere. I keep getting expensive prices, and I am not happy with the quality of their product.

real estate: Have you ever done this? - 08/18/07 05:37 PM
Have you ever told your clients that you didn't have time for them? I have gotten quite a few clients because their agent told them that they didn't have time for them. They were NOT high maintenance at all. They were very motivated to buying a house. I worked with this one couple not even a week and had written up an offer and closed the transaction. I am just wondering the reason behind it? Do you think it is because they were not in the agents price range? or what? … (8 comments)

real estate: Are there any good real estate books that you recommend reading? - 08/18/07 04:57 PM
Are there any good real estate books that you recommend reading? Since the market is the way it is right now, I am looking to read recommended real estate books that I could possibly benefit from either now or in the future. I am still kind of new to real estate, so I am devoting my late night readings to real estate industry. If you have any suggestions please feel free to comment as they are greatly appreciated. Thanks Nicole.    … (7 comments)
