followup: New Affiliate! AOSDates - 11/12/15 10:19 PM
OK – I know I’m the CRM guy and this one isn’t a CRM but it’s darn sure relevant to it and it’s something I think will become quite popular. When Heather Wahl, the developer and owner of AOSDates approached me and she showed me what she had I immediately jumped on board.
As a real estate agent, when it comes to the time between contract and closing, you are the conductor. You have all the players and you need to make sure everyone is on the same page. How much time do you spend checking the details of each transaction and … (0 comments)

followup: CRM Drip campaigns - Just a start - 07/10/15 12:50 AM
If all you are doing to follow up with prospects and past clients is email drip campaigns, you’re only realizing a portion of your potential income.
When I started in real estate sales in 1987, there was no Internet and no email. I had to prospect and follow up with people the good old fashioned way. I called them and I even door knocked. I mailed post cards and fliers. I spent money. But it was an investment that paid off many times over. Then came the internet and email. You can reach out and touch everyone in your database – for … (0 comments)

followup: I'm proud to announce a new affiliation with Contactually! - 07/17/13 08:33 AM
"There is a major buzz around the Internet on this one, and with good reason.
Although I feel it is my job to counsel agents that they should be using their CRM to truly run many aspects of their business, including transaction management, it often falls on deaf ears. They just don't want something that involved. Many agents I speak with are just tired of following up too late with people, only to find that they have lost out on a potential listing or sale. If that's your primary pain point and all you want is something to really keep you … (2 comments)

followup: What's your e-mail reputation? - 06/13/13 03:56 AM
Do you know that if you are sending an e-mail regularly to your Sphere of Influence, but you are not doing it responsibly, you could be doing a great deal of damage to your domain name's e-mail reputation? If you're not following up with your SOI consistently, you're losing money in lost referrals and repeat business. If you are, and you're using e-mail as one method of doing so, are you doing it responsibly? If not, you could end up on various e-mail server's blacklists, and that is not somewhere you want to be. That could stop all of your e-mails from … (3 comments)

Product Announcement. Top Producer has now added the ability to launch activity plans from the contact screen in the mobile version. So now if you get a lead call, say from a hot buyer, you can launch the "Two Month High Touch Buyer Prospecting Plan" right from your phone! Pretty cool!

followup: What are your favorite prospect follow-up campaigns or plans? - 06/06/11 06:30 AM
I am trying to find the best way to follow up with prospects, be they from a Web site, open house, ad call, sign call, or whatever. They could be an e-mail drip campaign or a letter campaign. Or they could be a set of plans that include both, as well as phone calls being included. But they have to be a stand alone product as opposed to something that is a part of a lead generation Web site or something that requires a monthly fee. Please share your favorites and or experiences. Thanks!

followup: Do you send a HUD-1 Letter/E-mail to your clients? - 12/22/10 08:50 AM
This is not a new or unique idea, but if you have never heard of it, you may want to consider doing it.
Each year, at the very beginning of the year, I send an e-mail to everyone who bought or sold a home through me. That e-mail basically says "If you need a copy of your HUD-1, I'll be happy to get one to you". This is part of my closing plan drip campaign in my Trans-Plans.
It is a value added touch opportunity that is appreciated, even though it is rare that you actually need to send them the HUD-1. … (7 comments)
