This is the 35th anniversary of this food festival, which raises money for local charities and various groups. It is well organized and will probably be attended by over 100,000 people. It is a popular attraction for many, and has visitors from around the world who come year after year. Many former Gilroyans come back each year just to attend.
Besides the food, there are many merchants and artisans who are selling their wares. Food IS the main attraction, and the assortment of garlicky food is quite impressive.

Gilroy is one of the few municipalities to sell fireworks for the Fourth of July located within Santa Clara County. There are 16 booths set up throughout the city, run by non-profits, that sell Safe and Sane Fireworks. They usually sell out of fireworks, as people come from many places to obtain these fireworks.
They must display the "Safe and Sane Fireworks" logo.
It should be noted that illegal fireworks cannot be legally used or sold ANYWHERE in California. Illegal fireworks are usually those that make loud esxplosions and/or fly through the air. These contain actual explosive material and … (8 comments)

Eagle Ridge Realty closed on another home today in Eagle Ridge. This is the third listing Eagle Ridge Realty has closed in the Eagle Ridge Golf Community in the past 45 days! I just went over to house to give the owner the keys, and his kid was already swimming in the pool! We have still one more listing that will close in 2 weeks.
