You may not have realized it but the domestic turkey originated in the Yucatán in Mexico. The Aztecs had domestic turkeys before the Spanish arrived. Teachers are very important in our lives and are honored in most countries. Today is a holiday in Colombia and Mexico. Día del Niño (Children's Day) is a great holiday and even if you are not in Colombia or Mexico, I encourage you to celebrate where ever you are. This holiday is celebrated on other days in some countries. The purpose for Día del Niño is to honor children and promote their well being. There is even Parque Nacional Los Glaciares (The Glaciers national Park in Argentina). This park contains the largest ice cap outside of Antarctica and Greenland and has 47 large glaciers. It is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
