First you should have a tough password. Next you should have a different password for each site. And finally you should change it often.
Guess what?
I have a system that lets me do all of that and I can easily remember each and every password. My system is simple and anyone can use it easily. I want a 15 character password because that makes it extremely difficult for hackers. You can use a shorter one if you like --- eight characters does make a fairly strong password.

Passwords are one of those things we really need but they often drive us crazy. With today's technology you need good strong passwords but how do you remember them? If your password is really easy to remember -- is it easy to hack? Do you use a password management service to help remember all of them? Did you know that the service itself may get hacked? I'm worried about mine and I need to make some changes. In the last few weeks, several of my friends have lost their email -- fortunately it was a temporary situation, but it made me much more aware of what could happen if I lost my email tomorrow and it could not be recovered. Today I was working on contact management and started wondering, should I change systems? I have been using Microsoft Outlook. It has been a good system, so why am I thinking about changing? The biggest factor is that I like the idea of having my data online and accessible from any computer anywhere. For example, I used Microsoft Word for years and like it.
