We made the news again and it wasn't the heat wave or flooding. It was snow. It took three hours to snow blow my little driveway. I usually exercise in the morning before starting my day...but this day was different. I looked outside and thought I'll get more than enough exercise just clearing the snow. I was right. I opened the garage door and over a foot had accumulated next to the door with drifts higher in the middle. Oh well it's just snow, right? I was listing a home on Lake Isabella. For those of you unfamiliar with this beautiful area it is located just 15 miles west of Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. We may not notice the changes in peoples budgets because we are worrying more about our own. I have been watching the rate of inflation published versus the rate of inflation on the wholesale food markets. This may not be something most will pay attention too. We have so many other issues to focus on in life. This is a leading indicator to what families will be seeing in the grocery stores. Those little hikes of 20 cents here and 40 cents there at up to real dollars. They also add up to decisions on the quality of food families buy. … (4 comments)

Have you noticed how overworked and stressed out most people are nowadays? I look at people in the grocery stores, gas stations, fast food places....see how little I have in life! They look and act dazed and shocked. The economy has created a huge concern for everyone. The media has dwelt on the negative for so long that people cling to anything that happens that is good in their lives.
