hotel: Placida, FL: Charlotte County Commissioners Voting on Height Restrictions Today...

Today, the Charlotte County Commssion will meet to vote on several items on their agenda. One of the most watched votes will be on the height restrictions currently allowed for buildings, especially buildings on our coastlines. In Placida where I live, developers are trying to get permission to build a hotel, condo complex up to 60 FT (currently the max height is 38 FT).
There is no doubt that hotels/resorts (like Hyatt, Marriott, Ritz) are needed in this area... When people come to look at real estate in Boca Grande, Placida, Englewood and Manasota Key where $1M listings are not-uncommon, we have … (2 comments)
