Puzzle Maker, Bill Thompson, at the Gibson's Gallery at the Greenbrier's Art Colony
When you enter Gibson's Gallery and go upstairs to the production area, in the corner you will find Bill Thompson, the Puzzle Maker, busy making a new and different puzzle.
Bill Thompson is 87 years old and has been making puzzles for 18 years at the Greenbrier. The puzzles are made out of copper and soldered with silver. He has ten puzzles in his collection. His best-seller, The Heart Puzzle, is relatively simple but will amaze and mystify any audience. (12 comments)

There were several artist displaying their art at The Greenbrier this weekend ....one was Lynda Villers Rhodes, a watercolor artist. She was displaying her prints, note cards and note pads.
Lynda has been painting for 29 years first with oil, then in 1988 experimented with water coloring and today her love of nature is beautifully expressed in her signature water colors of birds, bird's nest
and other nature images .....above are just a few...there are over 50 different note cards to select from, and all the note cards and note (15 comments)
On Lewisburg's First Friday, September 4, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm., the Cooper Gallery is hosting an artist reception for Max Hayslette. Max Hayslette is a former West Virginian. He was born in Rupert in 1930. He had his first art show at the age of 16 in Rainelle, West Virginia. This year, Mr. Hayslette celebrates his 80th birthday.
Max Hayslette completed his studies at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1952, where he studed with Alexander Archipenko and Egon Weiner. He considers himself a romantic artist, one who seeks to give his work a warm and gentle, spiritual quality. His (3 comments)
