Historic Downtown Lewisburg continues its tradition of First Fridays after Five! It takes place on February 4th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Bring your family and friends for an evening in downtown Lewisburg to enjoy music, art, food and fun! Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity will be presenting its Women Build Project throughout the evening in various locations downtown. Project representatives will be on hand at downtown businesses, who will present information about the project. Next week the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce will be hosting two events. The first event will be on Tuesday, January 19th to welcome the newest members to the business community - Fresenius Medical Care, a dialysis facility. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at noon at 1215 Maplewood Avenue in Fairlea. The ribbon cutting will be part of an open house festivities planned for the day. The Medical Director, Dr. Heather Ratliff, DO., is a native of Greenbrier County. She is a nephrologist with Appalachian Kidney Associates. Dr. Ratliff oversees 17 dialysis treatment centers, an

Yes, it is getting close for the West Virginia's Annual State Fair to start. The Fair employees are working hard to ensure that everyone attending will indeed have a great time. The Fair starts August 14 and goes to August 22. This will be the 85th Annual State Fair. WOW - I am glad to say I wasn't around for the first Fair. But, I have attended past Fairs and there is so much to do and see for all ages. The Fair's celebration of "Farm Fresh Fun", includes carnival rides, food, livestock exhibits, grandstand performances, home arts, gardens and crafts, AND so much

If you haven't been to Historic Downtown Lewisburg on the first Friday of the month, you are missing out on some fun. First Fridays after Five is a Lewisburg tradition and takes place all year long with shops, galleries and restaurants that stay open until 9 pm serving complimentary refreshments and entertainment.
