Red Velvet Whoopie Pie and Other Homemade Valentine Sweets at the Greenbrier Farm Market

For February, the owners, Nancy and Steve Wardwell, will be making special Valentine Gift Baskets and will also be making some special treats, like:
Chocolate Covered Strawberries (white, milk and dark chocolate)
Chocolate Dipped Homemade Marshmallows
Strawberry Muffins
Red Velvet Whoopie Pie

I stopped by the market after showing property today.  Of course, I bought  the Red Velvet Whoopie Pie  with a light creamy filling (two for $3.00).  The whoopie pie is a delicious light dessert and not too sweet.

Have you heard of The Crazy Baker® in West Virginia?  If you haven’t, you have been missing some great pastries and other goodies!  The Crazy Baker® is Hall Hitzig and his bakery is located in a small, rural community in Renick, West Virginia.  I met with Hall last week at the small production bakery located a few miles from his mountain top home.

I stood in line for 20 minutes to buy four cinnamon rolls.  The line was about 20 feet long, but no one was complaining because they … (7 comments)
