It has been a strange year for me in real estate.  In June, a flood devastated our area and many families are still without a home. From July 1 to September 16, I worked with a couple and their three girls.  I really worked on getting a home in Rainelle for them, but it just didn't happen. I won't go into details but it was heartbreaking for the couple as well as for me.  Working with USDA, the lender and FEMA was absolutely something I never hope to do again.... what a whirlwind!  I made calls to Senator Machin's office and … (21 comments)

goals: I Surpassed My Goal - A good day to just enjoy the RAIN - 07/05/09 07:49 AM
I am sitting in my office reading some great posts on Active Rain today.  The weather is not cooperating today.  It has been raining since early morning.....really it has been rainy all day, not drizzling, but a good steady rain. 
The picnic we were planning to attend was cancelled...so yes I'll spend the day inside.  But, it gives me a chance to get some small chores completed, like:
Make some real estate calls; review a contract I wrote on July 4th to ensure it is complete with no errors. Read and comment on Active Rain posts...perhaps write a post (which is … (6 comments)

goals: Yes, I Met My Goal--50,000 points! - 03/14/09 01:00 PM
My goal was to get to 50,000 points by the end of March.  Well, I made it before the due date.  Ohhhhhhhh, this has been a great week for good news.  First good news was I have a new great nephew, Ethan Daniel.  Earlier today, I wrote a post on this ... Wonderful News to Report! 
Secondly, I met my goal -- 50,000 Active Rain points by the end of March.  I AM SINGING IN THE RAIN....and I qualify for  The Activerain Bronze Star Hall of Fame.  
A new nephew, and member of the Hall of Fame!
