GVT Presents the hilarious farce, "The Skin of Our Teeth"
 
Greenbrier Valley Theatre kicks off the 48 Season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy The Skin of Our Teeth by Thornton Wilder.
 
Dates:  April 10 & 11, 16-18, and 23-25
Time:   7:30 p.m.
Also, a Pay-What-You-Can Preview Performance April 9 at 7:30 pm. Prior to the show, GVT will host a sale of work by the Greenbrier Artists, April 10 & 11.

The Business After Hours of the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce  will be held at the Greenbrier Valley Theatre.Date:  Thursday, September 27Time:  5:300 PM til 7:30 PMLocation:  113 East Washington Street, Lewisburg WVGVT is celebrating its 45th anniversary season and 12 years in the Lewisburg location.Members are invited to stay and attend GVT’s production of “The Crucible” at 7:30 PM.  This is the preview/pay-what-you-wish presentation.  The official start date for the performance is Friday, September 28.

The timeless story of the boy who asked for more will come to life on the Greenbrier Valley Theatre stage beginning November 2, with the production of Oliver!
 
Oliver!, which is based on the Charles Dickens classic Oliver Twist, is a British musical with script, music and lyrics by Lionel Bart.
 
The production of Oliver!, which is directed by Laurie Riffe and Joe Lehman, features a large cast, of which more than half are children from the GVT Youth Education Program.

gvt: 'Twas A warm, beautiful day for the merchant's holiday open house, Lewisburg, WV - 11/22/10 01:53 PM
Sunday, November 21st, was a warm, beautiful day for the Lewisburg merchants annual Holiday Open House Celebration.  There were many festive activities for all, and of course a good time for Christmas shopping, or just making a list for Santa. 
 
Seems everyone was out enjoying the day and the festivities.  There was so much to do and see....starting with the Gingerbread House Contest (winners to be announced later) and having cookies and milk with Santa Claus.

The Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT) is West Virginia's official year-round professional theatre.  GVT's,  first performance for the season is "The 39 Steps"  This version of The 39 Steps is based on John Buchan's ground-breaking novel, Alfred Hitchcock's iconic movie and the exquisite idea of two Northern English writers Nobby Dimon and Simon Corble of doing the whole play with just four actors.    The play is directed by Cathey Sawyer, and stars Kurtis Donnelly, Betsy Graver, Paul Orwick, and Michael Sharp.
