The Cooper Gallery in Lewisburg, WV, is having their grand reopening and evening reception on Friday, October 7th from 5-8PM.

The Lewisburg Chocolate Festival started in 2006. This event has grown from offering 5,000 tastings to 35,000 in just 10 years.
 
Today 40 chocolate vendors from around the country share their chocolate delicacies while celebrity chefs demonstrate some exciting desserts and dishes.  And that's not all! The event also features a mousse eating competition, the Chocolate Chase 10K Race, the All Things Chocolate Bake-Off, and chocolate themed children’s activities.

Mt. Airy - 402 E. Washington Street has been owned by Marni Thomas Wood for the past 45 years. This home was built by Mason Mathews after he acquired the 1.5 acres in 1845. An earlier brick home on the property had burned. Of additional interest is the laundry room which was a former separate kitchen and a wagon house for use as a dairy farm. A log cabin was moved onto the property in the 1970’s.

Over 75 fearless and fun-loving souls, braved the cold waters of Anthony Creek on Saturday, March 5 to raise awareness about child abuse as the 13th Annual Greenbrier Valley Polar Bear Plunge Club convened for its yearly meeting in the Monongahela National Forest.
 

 
Club members raised over $12,000 for the Child and Youth Advocacy Center of Lewisburg. As always, 100% of the  proceeds benefited the 501-c-3, non-profit organization that interviews and counsels sexually abused children in Greenbrier, Monroe, and Pocahontas  counties, so that offenders may be prosecuted.
