Ah yes, turkeys! What would Thanksgiving be like without turkey, dressing, gravy, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, etc. It was and still is a tradition to have turkey every Thanksgiving and Christmas. Turkeys are big enough to feed a crowd... true for my family! Turkey dinner went a long way with a large family of 11 children. And, really it is an easy dinner to fix. I usually prepare my turkey the night before. Sometimes, I get up at 4am and put the turkey on and you can imagine the wonderful smell when you wake up that morning.
