2014 marks the fourth year that The Greenbrier will be holding its “Dream Tree for Kids” holiday gift drive, which will donate more than $1 million in toys to charity.

The Greenbrier, the historic American resort in West Virginia's Allegheny Mountains, announced today that it will be the home of the 2014 Training Camp for the New Orleans Saints in late July and early August 2014.

I visited the Alan Anderson's Trunk Show at the Greenbrier on Friday. Alan, designer of magnificent jewelry trees and other fabulous jeweled creations was making designs when I arrived. The one he had just completed was a beautiful jewel box.
He had so many creations to see and some vintage jewelry. Below are a few items

I was driving to one of my listings today in White Sulphur Springs and noticed there were still a lot of Christmas lights on. So, I started wondering when do most people take their lights down. It is so pretty seeing all the lights shining so bright and it would be nice to see this every day of the year and just not during Christmas.

The Greenbrier is offering a fun way to support local non-profit organizations through its Casino Charity Weekend, March 16-17. Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT) is one of four local organizations participating in the event, which allows individuals to purchase weekend casino passes for $20, a fee that goes straight to the theatre.

The Greenbrier’s 2nd Annual Winterfest Weekend, January 6-8, will feature nationally recognized ice carvers vying in individual and team carving competitions. As an added treat, the state’s only synchronized skating team, West Virginia Synchro, will perform on Saturday and Sunday. The competitions and performances are free and open to the public.

The Greenbrier has added more dates to the Popular Tribute to the Virginias Package for the months of January and February. If you missed The Greenbrier in 2011......more dates have been added to the popular Tribute to the Virginias package for January and February 2012!
Available dates now include January 6-19, 22-26, 29-31 and February 1-9, 15-16 and 19-29. The Tribute package, with rates as low as $59 per room, per night, must be booked online and a two-night minimum stay is required.
