Mini vacations can resurrect the spirit and love-of-a-lifetime relationship. It did wonders for ours recently. It was just what the doctor ordered....R&R. Who knew when we decided to take a couple of days to be together in January at Cannon Beach Oregon that we would have near-summer-like temperatures?!

Winter photo ops come often at Fishhawk Lake. I decided to look through my photo archives for more pictures that I’ve taken since moving here fulltime in 2006. So, here we go!
This was the view from my old home at the first entrance to Fishhawk Lake, on Northshore Drive, where the spillway and fishladder are.
This cabin was built at Fishhawk Lake by a bunch of brothers from Alaska for their sister. Truly a log cabin at the lake!

Recently, I took a trip with my in-laws to Cannon Beach Oregon. It is a coastal town just filled with photo opportunities and only a short hour's drive from my beautiful Fishhawk Lake, an easy day trip if you own property at Fishhawk Lake and still want to travel with friends and family.
Here is what greets you as you round the bend on the main drag. The shops have a plethora of flower arrangements gracing their storefronts and are a dream to photograph.
