I've been reading a book called Simple Abundance...it's been around for years, but I finally got a copy of it early this spring. It's a daily missive on simple abundance, whatever direction that takes. June 7th was "The Joy of Living Rooms". I loved this quote of Lucy Abbot Throop: Some living rooms we see have really no right to the name; they are so unattractive they ought, instead, to be called existing rooms. Thought I would resurrect this post, as it still applies today. I do have one lakefront lot in Sale Pending that WAS financed, due to close in early June, but finding a company that will loan on vacant lots is rare these days!

What if you could speak directly to a home? What would you say? Would you use different words than when speaking to its owner? You haven't changed at all! This can be great to hear at your 30th high school reunion, but boy, oh boy, that could be tough if you're a 70's ranch with a bad color job and sad fixtures.
