spiders: Spider Research! Who Knew.....

Okay, first off...this is an odd post, but so fitting with October being full of witchcraft, spiders, creepy things and such. (Stay with me, it's worth watching the included video). I was on my front porch sitting on my papasan relaxing, and when I got up, I happened to notice (thank God) that there was a fairly sizeable spider hanging out with me!
Being afraid of spiders, I immediately parked him on the lawn down the front steps. I watched him turn in the exact direction of where he'd been as he ceremoniously made his way back to his original "post", a wooden log that … (27 comments)
(I found this in my drafts from last fall....and as I'm trying to wake up from the snowy blanket of eternal whiteness, I thought I'd share a more colorful moment at Fishhawk Lake). Here I was trying out a new mirror lens inside my "lakeroom" (as I was just experimenting and it was wet outside)...so I saw a bit of sun glancing off some autumn maple leaves and I thought, well, why not give this lens a try?
