Water is a most precious commodity in the desert. Programs to conserve and reuse water are vital to each community. The city of Surprise, Arizona has teamed with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's WaterSense program to help residents conserve water and reduce costs. The Phoenix Business Journal reports that WaterSense program is "designed to decrease nonagricultural water use through simple conservation methods and the use of high efficiency products." The EPA has a criteria for efficiency in products and WaterSense-labeled product meet this strict standard. I read an interesting article in the Orlando Business Journal about Realtors taking a second job or even switching careers during this current housing downturn. On such Realtor was going to supplement his income by waiting tables at the Stonewood Grill & Tavern. One young lady decided to take a nine-week course in Hawaii to become a certified Bikram Yoga instructor. Remember the "good old days" when you pulled into a "Service Station" and actually got service? May I check your oil? How are those tires? I have had a number of agents view my properties and I have contacted at ten to twelve of them to get feedback, good or bad, and NOT ONE has been courteous enough to return my call or email. For those of you that think the Superbowl is just for football, think again. The operators of the University of Phoenix Stadium home of the the 42nd Superbowl, Global Spectrum in conjunction with St. Mary's/Westside Food Bank Alliance are teaming up to collect 63,400 meals, the exact number of seats in the stadium. One option is to consider an auction to unload the property quickly. The City of Surprise, Arizona city council has approved a new rental accountability ordinance and will be hiring two new employees whose soul responsibility will be o deal with potential problems.
