This past May marked a wondrous, fun event, “A Taste of Larchmont” launched and organized by the Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s Larchmont Manager, Carolyn Fugere. Over $24000 was raised for “My Sister’s Place” , a caring and important organization. (My Sisters’ Place strives to engage each member of society in our work to end domestic violence, so that all relationships can embrace the principles of respect, equality, and peacefulness. We advance this mission with direct services, advocacy and community education). My Associates in the Larchmont Julia B. Fee office all devoted a great deal of time in procuring donations from the local (4 comments)
charities: Simplistically Speaking on Disasters...

When we elect our governing officials, we are always ever hopeful that the programs they state will be put into motion, -will be accomplished in an expert fashion... but sometimes (always), those programs are only as good as the appointed personnel to implement them.. I have been reading and seeing this past week so much dissatisfaction over FEMA - how they have 2000 trailers just 'sitting there' and not being in use, how people are still homeless... and now there is discussion about housing the homeless from the storm in vacant barges (?) in the water - where they can still perhaps see their ruined homes...
