Okay, to better explain, my pooch was found starving, close to death, his fur totally matted on the streets. It took months to nurse him back to health, and he was still thin when we adopted him (he adopted us) 3 months later from the New Rochelle Humane Society (now called the Humane Society of Westchester). He was always afraid of men, would bark, and I would take him to the dog park to help socialize him. After now nearly 4 years, he can actually play with other dogs and doesn’t see them as being menacing to him. However, some (6 comments)
We have a lovely dog called Binky. As soon as I saw him at the Humane Society over 2 years ago, I knew he was meant for us… I hope he felt the same way. He had been found on the streets, incredibly starved and his fur all matted, and he has – shall we say ‘issues!” He LOVES the dog park at Paw’s Place in New Rochelle, and to interact with the other dogs there. He likes to do the sniffing though, always being in control. I wanted to get him nicely pampered before the Holidays, and I (9 comments)

Having recently adopted the perfect pet (Binky - photo shown) from the New Rochelle Humane Society, I decided to obtain a permit for Paw's Place, a park for dogs, located in Ward Acres, which would allow me to take him to the park (from dawn to dusk) for the small fee of $50 a (calendar) year. The rules are pretty simple: All dogs should be healthy, vaccinated, current with all shots, wearing a collar and ID at all times, and owners must be carrying the valid dog permit for the park also.
